Abstract:

In this study, the nationalism adopted in modern Greece will be attempted to be explained through the official history writing and the national history myths created in the process of the formation of the perception of history. Such a study takes an important place in Greece in terms of understanding the official historical writings they use to create social membership and memory, and in terms of consideration where nationalist reflections stand against the ideas such as the rise of boundaries with the continued globalization today. In this context, we will first describe the concepts of nationalism and nationalism, and then seek the answer to the question of how the Greek nation defined itself and how they position themselves at this point in the historical stage. Finally, referring to the process of the creation of national consciousness, the national history myths will describe how the birth and development of the history writing formed and how the perception of reality of it.
