ÖZEL EĞİTİM ÖĞRETMENİ ADAYLARININ MÜZİK ÖĞRETİMİNE YÖNELİK ÖZYETERLİK İNANÇLARININ FARKLI DEĞİŞKENLER AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın amacı özel eğitim öğretmeni adaylarının müzik öğretimine yönelik özyeterlik düzeylerini belirlemek ve inançlarının yaşa, cinsiyete, sınıf düzeyine, müzik eğitim geçmişleri ve müziğe yatkınlıklarına ilişkin görüşlerine göre farklılık gösterip göstermediğini ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Uludağ Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Özel Eğitim Bölümüne devam eden 113 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Veriler Sabahat Özmenteş tarafından 2011 yılında geliştirilmiş olan “Müzik Öğretimine Yönelik Özyeterlik Ölçeği” ile elde edilmiştir. Ölçek puanlarının yaşa, sınıf düzeyine ve müzik eğitim geçmişlerine göre incelenmesinde Kruskal-Wallis-H testi, cinsiyete göre incelenmesinde t-testi, müziğe yatkınlıklarına göre incelenmesinde ise tek yönlü varyans analizi kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Kruskal Wallis-H testi, t-testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucu olarak öğretmen adaylarının müzik öğretimine yönelik özyeterlik inançlarının yaşlarına ve sınıf düzeylerine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermediği tespit edilmiş, kadınların müzik öğretimine yönelik özyeterlik inançlarının erkeklere göre daha fazla olduğu ortaya konmuştur. Son olarak özel eğitim öğretmeni adaylarının müzik eğitim geçmişleri ve müzikal yatkınlıklarına ilişkin görüşlerinin müzik öğretimine yönelik özyeterliklerine doğru orantılı olarak yansıdığı görülmüştür.

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to identify the levels of self-sufficiency for vocational teachers and to show whether their beliefs differ according to age, gender, class level, music education history and music tendencies. The examples of the study are formed by 113 teachers candidates to the Special Education Department of the University of Uludağ. The data was obtained by Sabahat Özmenteş with the "Music Teaching Equality Scale" which was developed in 2011. In the study of scale scores according to age, class level and music education history, the Kruskal-Wallis-H test, the gender test, the t-test, and the one-way variance analysis in the study of music according to their tendencies. In the analysis of the data, the Kruskal Wallis-H test, the t-test and the one-way variance analysis were used. The study found that the beliefs of teachers candidates to the music teaching did not differ significantly according to their age and class levels, and that the beliefs of women to the music teaching were higher than the beliefs of men. Finally, it has been seen that the candidates for special education views on their music education history and musical tendencies are reflected in proportion to their self-sufficiency towards music teaching.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a significant difference between the special education teacher candidates’ self-efficacy beliefs among music teaching and their ages, genders, grades, musical backgrounds and musical inclination. The sample of the study was 120 special education teacher candidates who get education in Uludag University Faculty of Education Special Education Department. The study is a descriptive study and “Self-Efficacy towards Music Teaching Scale” which was developed by Sabahat Özmenteş (2011), was used to measure the special education teacher candidates’ self-efficacy believes towards music teaching. The data were analysed using Kruskal Wallis-H test, t-test and one-way Anova. As a result, it was revealed that the self-efficacy believes of the teacher candidates did not differ significantly according to their ages and class levels, and that the self-efficacy believes of women were higher than those of men. Finally, the musical education histories of the special education teacher candidates and their musical tendencies reflected in direct proportion to their self-efficacy regarding music teaching.
