İdealist Öğretmen Ölçeği’nin Geliştirilmesi: Geçerlik ve Güvenirlik Çalışması

Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın amacı öğretmenlerin idealistlik düzeylerini belirlemek için idealist öğretmen ölçeğini geliştirmektir. Çalışmanın örneklemi Kahramanmaraş ili Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğüne bağlı okullardan basit seçkisiz olarak belirlenmiş 455 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Ölçeğin yapı geçerliğini ölçmek için çapraz geçerleme prosedürü uygulanmıştır. Diğer bir ifade ile çalışma grubunun ilk kısmına (n = 228) açımlayıcı faktör analizi, diğer kısmına da (n = 227) doğrulayıcı faktör analizi uygulanmıştır. Açımlayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda KMO değerinin .93 ve Barnett Test (p < .05)’nin ise anlamlı olduğu ortaya çıkmış, bu durumun mevcut verinin açımlayıcı faktör analizine uygun olduğu görülmüştür.  Tek faktörlü olarak bulunan ölçeğin açıklanan varyansı %61.82 olarak bulunmuştur. Yapılan doğrulayıcı faktör analizi bu durumu destekler niteliktedir (χ²/sd = 1.95 CFI = .91 TLI = .91 RMSEA = .05 SRMR = .06). Cronbach Alfa ile hesaplanan ölçek  güvenirliği ise .88 olarak bulunmuştur. Bu sonuçlar geliştirilen bu ölçeğin hem geçerliğini hem de güvenirliğini desteklemektedir.

The development of the idealist teacher scale: validity and reliability study

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to develop the idealist teacher scale to determine the idealist levels of teachers. The examples of the study consist of 455 teachers simply selected from schools associated with the National Education Directorate of Kahramanmaraş or Kahramanmaraş. A cross-passing procedure has been applied to measure the structural validity of the measurement. In the first part of the work group (n = 228) the analysis of the opening factor and in the other part (n = 227) the analysis of the verifying factor was applied. The detection factor analysis found that the KMO value was .93 and the Barnett Test (p < .05) meaningful, and the current data of this situation was found to be appropriate for the detection factor analysis.  The indicated variation of the one-factor scale was 61.82. The verifying factor analysis is the quality that supports this situation (χ2/sd = 1.95; CFI = .91; TLI = .91; RMSEA = .05; SRMR = .06). The scale reliability calculated by Cronbach Alfa was .88. These results support both the validity and reliability of this developed scale.

Cross-validation procedure was applied to measure the construct validity of the scale. In other words, exploratory factor analysis was applied to the first part of the study group (n = 228) and confirmatory factor analysis was applied to the other part (n = 227). As a result of exploratory factor analysis, it was found that KMO value was .93 and Barnett Test (p < .05) was significant, and this situation was found to be compatible with exploratory factor analysis. The explained variance of the scale, unidimensioal, was found to be 61.82%. Confirmatory factor analysis supports this situation (χ² / sd = 1.95; CFI = .91; TLI = .91; RMSEA = .05; SRMR = .06). The reliability of the scale calculated by Cronbach Alpha was found to be .88. These findings show both validity and reliability of the developed scale.
