Bu çalışmada Türkiye’de problem kurma üzerine hazırlanan tezlerin tematik açıdan incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla problem kurma ile ilgili 52 lisansüstü tez incelenmiştir. 2019 yılında hazırlanan tezler sisteme yüklenmeye devam ettiği için 2018 yılına kadar hazırlanan tezler çalışmaya dâhil edilmiştir. Tezler, doküman incelemesi yoluyla tür, yıl, enstitü, bilim dalı, örneklem türü, örneklem büyüklüğü, yöntem, desen, veri toplama araçları, araştırma konusu, çalışılan konu gibi değişkenler açısından incelenmiştir. Araştırmada veriler içerik analizi yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma verilerinin sunulmasında Microsoft Excel ve SPSS 21 programları kullanılarak frekans, yüzde gibi betimsel istatistiklerden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda, yüksek lisans tezlerinin daha fazla sayıda olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. En çok 2018 yılında tez hazırlandığı ve son yıllarda hazırlanan tez sayısının giderek arttığı görülmüştür. İncelenen tezlerde ağırlıklı olarak nitel yöntemler kullanılmıştır. Ortaokul öğrencileri ile daha fazla sayıda çalışma yürütüldüğü belirlenmiştir. Problem kurma becerileri ve başarı en sık araştırılan araştırma konularındandır. Problem kurma ile ilgili hazırlanan tezlerde en çok çalışılan konular “sayılar ve işlemler” ve “kesirler” olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçları doğrultusunda bu alanda çalışma yapmayı düşünen araştırmacılara bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
In this study, the thesis prepared on the problem-making in Turkey is aimed at examining thematically. There are 52 subjects that have been examined for this purpose. Theses prepared in 2019 have been included in the work until 2018 because the theses prepared in 2019 have continued to be charged into the system. Theses are studied in terms of variables such as type, year, institution, branch of science, sample type, sample size, method, pattern, data collection tools, research subject, the subject studied. In the study, the data was analyzed using the content analysis method. In the presentation of the research data, Microsoft Excel and SPSS 21 programmes took advantage of visual statistics such as frequency, percentage. The research has shown that the number of master's theses has increased. The most of the thesis was prepared in 2018 and the number of thesis prepared in recent years has been increasing. The methods were used primarily in the examined theses. More studies have been carried out with high school students. The problem-making skills and successfully researched subjects. In the prepared theses on problem-making, the topics that are widely studied are defined as "number and processes" and "cuts". According to the results of the study, researchers have been given some recommendations to consider working in this field.
In this study, it was aimed to make an examination from a thematic aspect on the theses which were prepared on problem posing in Turkey. For this purpose, 52 postgraduate theses about problem posing were examined. Since the theses prepared in 2019 continue to be uploaded to the system, theses prepared until 2018 were included in the study. Theses were examined through document analysis in terms of variables such as type, year, institute, branch of science, sample type, sample size, method, design, data collection tools, research topic and subject studied. In the study, the data were analyzed by content analysis method. Descriptive statistics such as frequency and percentage were used with the help of Microsoft Excel and SPSS 21 softwares. As a result of the research, it was found out that the number of master's theses was more. It was seen that 2008 was the year when the highest number of thesis were prepared and the number of theses prepared in recent years increased gradually. Qualitative methods were predominantly used in the theses studied. It was determined that a lot of studies were carried out with middle school students. Problem posing skills and success are among the most frequently researched topics. The most studied topics in the theses prepared by using problem posing are “numbers and operations” and “fractions”. In line with the results of the research, some suggestions were made to the researchers considering to work in this field.
