Abstract:

The nationalism has been spoken in the media as much as it has found its place in all social practices. While the media advocates the sovereign ideology, it also uses the practices of self-powerment in a speech, and the sections that remain out of power are mostly disappeared through these practices. When nationalism is considered as a speech field, it is necessary to seek the construction and re-production of this speech field in daily life practices. Therefore, as a daily life practice, the media publications also appear as important elements in the construction, re-production, legalization and naturalization of the nationalism speech. The forms of communication and interaction that include the linguistic uses of the media make it possible for us and them to re-establish discrimination. The media that determines the speech of daily life and the thoughts of the crowds has a racist ideological speech. The media, which normally or even normally separates the crowds while putting this statement into life, plays an important role in the remaining unresolved ethnic issues. In particular, popular football culture, in addition to the power to move the masses, as well as being added to nationalism, which is formed around a homogeneous community philosophy and has a structure based on contradictions, causes certain speeches to get into circulation. In this context, discussing the football culture that has occurred effectively, the news in both German and Turkish press on Mesut Özil, who said he left the national team in July last year, was addressed by the method of critical speech analysis.
