Türk kültürü içerisinde var olan geleneksel el sanatları, sürekli gelişim ve değişim içerisindedir. Bu değişimin nedeni, toplum içerisinde yaşayan insanların her geçen gün farklılaşan yaşamsal ihtiyaçlarıdır. Geleneksel el sanatlarının sürdürülebilirliğini sağlayan ustalar önceki kuşaktan aldığı kültürel birikimin yanı sıra ürünlere kişisel yorum katarak yaşanılan dönemin ihtiyaçlarına uygun işlevsel üretimler yapmasıdır. Toplumların ihtiyaçlarını karşılayarak onlarla birlikte yaşayan geleneksel el sanatları, köklü geçmişleriyle sosyo-kültürel yaşamın vazgeçilmez unsurlarıdır. Bir topluma farklı kimlik kazandıran ve onu diğerlerinden ayıran en önemli özelliklerin başında “gelenekleri” gelmektedir. Gelenekler toplumda uzun yıllar yaşamın içinde yer alarak kalıcı hale gelirler. Kuşaktan kuşağa aktarılarak kültürel zenginliklerin parçası haline dönüşürler. Yaşamsal ihtiyaçların başında gelen giyim-kuşam zaman içerisinde başka işlevler de üstlenmiştir. Özel günlerde kullanılan ve giyimin önemli bir unsurunu oluşturan takılar onu kullanan kişilerin; toplumdaki konumlarının, ekonomik ve sosyal statülerinin yanı sıra medeni durumları ve etnik kimlikleri hakkında da bilgi verirler. Trabzon ve çevresi geleneksel sanatlar bakımından zengin bir bölgedir. Kazaziye sanatı da bu kültürel zenginliklerden birisidir. Kadim sanatlardan biri olan Kazaziye, yöre kadınları tarafından atölye ortamında ya da evlerinde üreterek aile bütçelerine katkı yaptıkları faaliyetlerdendir. Kazaziye; İpek işi anlamına gelen, yapımı özel maharet isteyen bir el sanatıdır. Kazaziye sanatını yapan ustaya Kazaz denir. Bu çalışmada, Trabzon’da altın ve gümüş tellerle yapılan, takı yapımı içerisinde yer alan kazazlık sanatının tarihsel süreci ve yapım teknikleri araştırılacaktır.
Traditional handicrafts existing within Turkish culture are in continuous development and change. The reason for this change is the vital needs of the people living in society that are increasingly different every passing day. Masters is ensuring the sustainability of traditional handicrafts. In addition to the cultural background gained from the previous generation, the masters made functional productions in accordance with the needs of the period by adding personal comments to the products. Traditional handicrafts that meet the needs of societies and live with them are indispensable elements of socio-cultural life with their long-established backgrounds. “Traditions” are one of the most important features that give a society a different identity and distinguish it from others. Traditions become permanent in society by taking part in life for many years. They become part of cultural wealth by being transferred from generation to generation. Clothing clothes which is one of the most vital needs, has taken other functions over time. Jewelry which is used in special occasions and forms an important element of clothing; as well as their position in society, their economic and social status, as well as their marital status and ethnic identity. Trabzon and its surroundings are a rich in traditional arts. The Kazazya/Kazazaz art is one of these cultural riches. Kazaziye, which is one of the ancient arts, is one of the activities where local women contribute to their family budgets by producing in workshops or at home. It is a handicraft which means silk work and requires special skill. The master who makes the Kazaziye art is called the Kazaz. In this study, the historical process and the techniques of the art of gaining, which are made with gold and silver wires in Trabzon, will be investigated.
