Burnout in Healthcare Sector: Burnout Level of the Managers at the Ministry of Health Hospitals in Ankara Burnout could cause to some problems so there is need to make more studies about the topic. With this study it is purposed to investigate burnout in healthcare and display the burnout level of the managers (head physician, assistant head physician, head nurse, assistant head nurse, administrator, assistant administrator) at the Ministry of Health Hospitals. The population of this study is all managers (454 managers) at the ministry of health hospitals in metropolitan area of Ankara. No sampling was chosen for the study and 54% of managers replied to the questionnaire (244 managers). “Maslach Burnout Scale” was used to measure the burnout level of hospital managers. Independent samples t test was used to analyze the differences of the burnout level according to characteristics with two independent average scores, One Way ANOVA was used for characteristics with more than two independent average scores. It was found that the level of emotional exhaustion is low (2.1±0.6), depersonalization is quite low (1.2±0.4) and personel accomplishment is high (4.4±0.5). Head nurses and head nurses assistants are the most exhausted group. Age group of 29-39, females, gratuate from medical career college and two-year degree and single health managers have higher burnout level
