Düşünme, anlama, bilme ve öğrenme insanın en önemli özellikleri arasında yer almaktadır. Geçmişten günümüze insanlar; kendilerini, içinde bulundukları çevreyi, yaşadıkları âlemi, karşılaştıkları hemen hemen her şeyi tanımaya ve anlamlandırmaya çalışmışlardır. Bu çabaların neticesinde ise bir bilgi birikimi ortaya çıkmıştır. Edindiği tecrübe ve bilgileri zaman içerisinde düzenli bir şekilde sistematize etmeyi başaran insanoğlunun böylelikle bilimin temellerini atmış olduğu söylenebilir. Modern bilim eleştirisinde öne çıkan hususların ele alındığı bu çalışmada öncelikle bilimin tarihi süreç içerisinde hangi koşullar içerisinden geçtiği ve şu an nerede durduğu, modern bilimin mahiyeti gibi hususlar ele alınmış buradan hareketle modern bilime yöneltilen başlıca eleştirilere mümkün olduğu ölçüde değinilmeye gayret edilmiştir. Bu bağlamda modern bilim anlayışının aleyhindeki iddiaların hangi nedenlerden kaynaklandığı ve bu iddiaların ne derece doğru olduğu felsefî bir bakış açısıyla incelenmiştir.
Reasoning, understanding, knowing and learning are among the most important features of human beings. From the past to the present, people have tried to recognize and make sense of themselves, the environment in which they live, the world they live in, and almost everything they encounter. As a result of these efforts, an accumulation of knowledge has emerged. It can be said that human beings, who have managed to systematize their experience and knowledge in time, have thus laid the foundations of science. This study mainly discusses the prominent issues regarding modern science criticism. The conditions under which the science passes through in the historical process and where it stands now as well as the nature of modern science are discussed, therefore from this point, the main criticisms of modern science have been mentioned to the extent possible. In this context, we examine from a philosophical point of view, the reasons behind the claims against the modern understanding of science and the veracity of these claims.
