Arap Dilinin Batı Afrika Kültürüne Etkisi

Abstract:

Batı Afrika okyanus ve çöl ile kuşatılmış, asırlar boyunca sözlü geleneğin hâkim olduğu izole bir coğrafyadır. İslâm’ın yayılmasından itibaren savaşlarla ve fetihlerle değil çöl aşırı ticaret yoluyla İslâm kültürü ve Arap dili ile tanışmıştır. Arap dili ve İslâm bölgede şehirden kırsala doğru yayılmış, eğitimli ve kültürlü insanların dili olmuştur. Bu sayede küçük gruplar bir arada yaşamayı öğrenmiş ve yönetimi ve kuralları olan devletler kurmaya başlamıştır. Bu durum asırlar boyu sürmüş, bölgede büyük İslâm devletleri kurulmuş, halkı veya yöneticileri Müslüman olan devletler ortaya çıkmış ve sömürgeciler 19. yüzyılda bölgeyi bölene kadar devam etmiştir. Bu çalışmada Arap dilinin bölgeye girişinden sömürgecilerin gelmesine kadar geçen süre boyunca Arap dilinin Batı Afrika’nın siyasî birliğine, diline ve edebiyatına olan katkıları ele alınmıştır. Ayrıca bu katkıların ortaya çıkmasında rol oynayan faktörler ortaya konmuştur. Bu çalışmanın amacı baskın kültüre ait dilin yayıldığı diğer toplumlar üzerindeki etkilerini ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaçla Arap dilinin Batı Afrika kültürü üzerinde etkileri ele alınmıştır.

Abstract:

West Africa is an isolated geography surrounded by ocean and desert, which has been dominated by verbal tradition for centuries. Since the spread of Islam, it has met Islamic culture and Arabic language through excess trade, not by wars and conquests. The Arabic language and Islamic region have been the language of people spread from the city to the countryside, educated and cultural. Through this, small groups learned to live together and began to establish states with governance and rules. This situation lasted for centuries, the major Islamic states were established in the region, the people or rulers of the Muslim states emerged, and the colonists continued until the 19th century the region was divided. This study discussed the contribution of Arabic to the political unity, language and literature of West Africa throughout the period from the entrance of the Arabic language to the arrival of the colonists. There are also factors that play a role in the appearance of these contributions. The aim of this study is to reveal its effects on other societies where the language of the dominant culture is spread. The influence of the Arabic language on the culture of West Africa.

Arab language and Islam spread from the city to the countryside in the region and became the language of educated and cultured people. In this way, small groups learned to live together and began to form states with rules and rulers. This situation lasted for centuries, great Islamic states were established in the region. Indeed, States whose rulers or people are Muslims emerged and this situation continued until the colonists came to divide the region in the 19th century. In this study, the contribution of the Arab language to the political unity, language and literature of West Africa during the period from the entry of the Arab language into the region to the arrival of the colonists was discussed. In addition, the factors that play a role in the emergence of these contributions have been revealed. The aim of this study is to reveal the effects of dominant cultural language on other societies. For this purpose, the effects of the Arabic language on West African culture were discussed.
