Culture is the sum of a society’s way of life, its ancestors’ traditions, traditions, values, in other words, what that society produces. It is necessary to be aware of the cultural values of nations in order to maintain their existence and to transfer their cultural heritage to future generations by preserving them. Therefore, the UNESCO has signed the Convention on the Protection of Non-Thematic Cultural Heritage against the Ignoration of People's Culture and the Possibility of the Disappearance of Cultural Wealth throughout the world. The preservation, development and sustainability of traditional crafts, which are an important element of our cultural heritage, is a matter that must be addressed in terms of both preservation and preservation of traditions. It is one of the rare places in which the fourth tradition is lived. Today, to be able to explore and reveal the situation of our crafts in the past and present, to be able to evaluate it as a cultural accumulation, it has raised the obligation to build connections with the past, starting from the present examples. For this, we need to remove our hand-art products from the boxes and document it in front of the eyes. Our crafts have reached today’s forms, with the aesthetic pleasures, traditions, beliefs, ceremonies of our society. In this study, to identify the past and current state of the quarry tradition in Erzurum, to determine the level of interest in crafts, to reveal which quarry products they produce within the framework of crafts, to identify the differences between the present and the past quarry products, to evaluate in the framework of non-specific cultural heritage in its transfer to and preservation to future generations, to discuss its role in its preservation and to advise the sustainability of this tradition.
