Values reflect the perspective of individuals who constitudes society. In order to walk confidently into the future and to raise a virtuous generation, values education must be done in a planned and programmed way without being left to chance. In this respect, teachers have important duties as the implementers of the programs. However, it is not only the task of the school and teachers to transmit values. The main purpose of this study was to examine the views of the primary school teachers and students' parents about values education aimed to be given in the primary school programs (1-4). A total of 10 class teachers working in different primary schools in Aydin province and a total of 10 parents whose children were studying in these schools were interviewed. The data were analyzed using descriptive and content analysis techniques in this qualitative study. The data obtained in this study, which was designed in a qualitative research design, were analyzed with descriptive analysis and content analysis and examined under three themes under the name of teacher and parent awareness about values education, effectiveness of the values education program in practice and the values of priority values of teachers and parents. The findings of the study show that all teachers and parents who participated in the interview had a high awareness of values education. Parents and teachers agree that the transfer of value that begins in the family with the birth of the child should be given in schools, where the teacher is a role model, in a framework based on science and practical activity within a specific plan. This is a very important finding for the success and functioning of the process. However, most of the interviewed teachers stated that the education given was partially effective in practice; therefore, they proposed to reorganize the program in line with regional and local needs and to make some changes regarding the learning and teaching process.
