Abstract:

One of the chronic structural problems of the labour market is unregistered work. Unregistered work can become a more complex structure depending on the employment/working conditions of the individual. According to March 2019 Labour Statistics, 67.6% of employees working on their own account are unregistered. In this context, the purpose of the study is to reveal the relationship between the KHC, which constitutes one of the disadvantaged groups in employment, and unregistered work. It consists of work, theory and practice departments. Quantitative data analysis of the study was carried out by the Turkish Statistical Authority (TÜIK) through the 2017 Home People’s Labour Survey Micro Data Set (HIMVS). Qualitative findings were obtained by deep face-to-face contact technique with 21 KHC in the Sea or Castle District. According to the data, there is a meaningful relationship between gender, age, education level variables and unregistered study. According to the results of the Nicel analysis, the rate of registration exclusion in KCH women is higher than in KCH men. According to the results of the quality analysis, the low income levels of the KHC and the high social security premiums are the elements that increase the unregistered work.
