The aim of this study is to adapt the Impact of Inclusion on Typically Developing Children, developed by Rafferty and Griffin (2005). The study’s work group consists of 196 teachers working in primary schools and kindergartens associated with the Ministry of National Education located in Kocaeli or Gebze. The effect of integration on normal development children is confirmed by the DFA result that the original two-factor cover structure, BF and BR, is provided in the same way in the scale adapted to Turkey. The study found α=.867 and ω=.868 for the subdimensions of the scale BF (4) and α=.832 and ω=.836 for the subdimensions of BR (8). In light of the findings obtained, this scale adapted to Turkey can be said to be valid and reliable.
The aim of the present study is to adapt the Impact of Inclusion on Typically Developing Children Scale developed by Rafferty and Griffin (2005) into Turkish. The study group consists of 196 teachers working at kindergartens and primary schools under the Ministry of National Education in Gebze, Kocaeli. It was confirmed as a result of the CFA that the two-factor latent structure of the original form of the Impact of Inclusion on Typically Developing Children Scale as BI and RB was maintained in the same way in its Turkish adaptation. The study found for the BI (4) subscale α=.867 and ω=.868; for the RB (6) subscale α =.832 and ω=.836. In the light of these findings, it can be stated that the Turkish adaptation of the scale is valid and reliable.
