Abstract:

Parks and gardens are important urban structures for the city with their aesthetic aspect and for the society with their functionala spect. It is important to handle both situations to gether and take place in the planning as a whole. The aesthetic aspect is effective in gaining identity of cities. It's usefulness is also effective in society's squality of life. Determining the usefulness of park-garden equipment planning according to individual perception and need will also bring the increase in satisfaction rates. With this match, a survey wasconducted to determine the satisfaction rates according to the existing equipment and facilities of 100 user sovertheage of 18 from the people's Garden, 500 Year Park, Freedom Park users in the urban of Çanakkale. The data set obtained were had been evaluated by "linear regression analysis" within the scope of SPSS 15.0statistical program. Statistical relations between dependent variable (satisfaction rate) and independent variables (security, parking, maintenance, Sports, children's play and exercise parking area, easy transport, nightlighting, planting, equipments, wateruse, promenade-teagarden, wc structures, bicycleway, multi-purposehall) all statistical relations had been significant due to the presence of p < 0.001. Thevalue of "R square" of 0.332 it is had shown that the analysis was able to explain the model by 33%. Furthermore, equipment and facilities that are effective in the satisfaction rate, according to the degree of impact towards from high at low, toilet structure, sportsfields, promenades, nightlighting, security, Children's playground, facilities (border, trash, benchelementsand pergola..)" is listed as.
