Bu araştırma Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmenlerinin kavram öğretimine ilişkin görüşlerinin incelenmesine yönelik olarak hazırlanmıştır. Nitel araştırma desenlerinden olgu bilim (fenomonoloji) deseniyle tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Ankara ilinde görev yapmakta olan 50 Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmeni oluşturmuştur. Veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde, betimsel analiz tekniğinden faydalanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, öğretmenlerin kavram öğretimini Sosyal Bilgiler dersi açısından önemli gördükleri, öğretimde en çok tercih ettikleri kavram öğretim tekniklerinin, kavram haritası ve zihin haritası olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Soyut, tarihi kavramların öğreniminde güçlük çektikleri ve bu kavramların daha zor öğrenildiğini düşündükleri sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu kavramlarda güçlük yaşanmasının sebebinin, öğrencilerin somut işlemler döneminde olmaları, kavramların öğrenci seviyesine uygun olmaması, ön bilgi eksikliği ve kavramların çoğunun günlük hayatla ilişkilendirilemediği görüşünde oldukları tespit edilmiştir.
This research is designed to study the opinions of teachers of Social Information on the teaching of concepts. The quality research patterns are designed with the fact science (fenomonology) patterns. The research team has formed 50 Social Information teachers who are working in the province of Ankara. The data is collected through a semi-configured interview form. In the analysis of the data, it is used by the imagistic analysis technique. The research has found that teachers consider conceptual teaching important in terms of social knowledge course, and that they prefer conceptual teaching techniques, conceptual maps and mind maps in teaching. Soyut has come to the conclusion that historical concepts are difficult to learn and they think that these concepts are harder to learn. The cause of difficulties in these concepts has been found in the view that students are in the period of concrete processes, that the concepts are not in accordance with the student level, that there is a lack of pre-knowledge and that most of the concepts cannot be associated with everyday life.
This research is intended to examine the views of social studies teachers on concept teaching. It is designed with a case science pattern from qualitative research patterns. The working group of the study was composed of 50 Social Studies teachers working in Ankara. The data was collected through a semi-structured interview form. In the analysis of the data, the descriptive analysis technique is utilized. The concept map and the mind map are the most important concepts in teaching. It has been concluded that they have difficulty in learning abstract and historical concepts and that they think that these concepts are more difficult to learn. It has been determined that the reason for the difficulty in these concepts is that the students are in the period of concrete processes, the concepts are not suitable for the student level, the lack of prior knowledge and the majority of the concepts cannot be associated with daily life.
