Abstract:

This study, which is a result of the efforts to evaluate global climate change in human context as a multi-dimensional problem area, is created by the need for social policies produced in order to provide a living space to people in the framework of global developments to take the same role today, in accordance with the objective of social policy to exist. The study on climate change in the context of social policy consists of five sections. The first part examines the concept and boundaries of global climate change. In the second part, the global climate change and social policy relationships are revealed by the results of the same historical background. The obligation of global climate change to enter the area of interest and influence of social policy has been drawn up in the third section by moving from the social policy science approach. The global climate change was then addressed as a reality that feels the need for social policy measures. The global climate change as a social problem in general corresponds to the definition of social policy, while the social dimensions are assessed in the fourth part; the impact of climate change on labour (work health and safety, work efficiency and employment) in general corresponds to the definition of social policy.

This study, which is the result of an effort to evaluate global climate change as a multidimensional problem area in the human context, is based on the necessity of social policies, which are produced with the aim of presenting a living space to the people within the framework of global developments, the necessity of taking the same task in accordance with the purpose of social policies. The study, which examines climate change in the context of social policy, consists of five chapters. In the first chapter, the concept and limits of global climate change are examined. In the second part, the relationship between global climate change and social policy is presented as the results of the same historical background. The necessity of global climate change to become an area of ​​interest and influence of social policy is discussed in the third chapter, based on the social policy science approach. Then, global climate change is discussed as a reality that requires social policy measures. The social dimensions of global climate change as a social problem, which corresponds to the definition of social policy in its broadest sense, are evaluated in the fourth chapter; the effects of climate change on labor (worker health and safety, labor productivity and employment) are discussed in the last section, which corresponds to the narrow definition of social policy.
