Özet:

In the begining of the seventeenth century, janisaries who were sent to Tripoli from the Izmir and its around, over time got married with locals and took the name of the Kuloglus. İn time among the Kuloglus, some people come into prominance who were called as a Dayı ( Uncle) and took over the control of the Tripoli. İn 1711, the control of the Tripoli passed into the hands of Karamanlı Ahmet Bey who was chosen as a Dayı and his family. Approximately, one century later, the family of the Karamanogle Ahmet Bey’s management in the Tripoli was terminated by the Sultan Mahmud the Second and once again Tripoli began the managed by the governors who were sent from the İstanbul. But Kuloğlus were still very important military power in the Tripoli. On the top of it, they were not paying tax and that situation was providing them very important economic power as well. However, in 1892, with the constitute of the Hamidiye regiments, the disband of the Kuloglus became a current issue. İn fact, the reason of the  constitute of the Hamidiye regiments was the deteriorate of Kuloglus. By using the archives of the Ottoman Empire, this article pupose the exhibit the reason the disband of the Kuloglus, attiudes against that decision, the reaction of the foreing states for that decision and the detection of the statesmen of the Ottoman Empire.
