Öğretmenler zaman zaman öğrencilerin uygun olmayan hareketleriyle karşılaşabilirler. Öğrencilerin sistemli bir şekilde, planlayarak, kendilerince olumsuz olan veya olabilecek bir duruma karşı gerçekleştirdikleri bu tepkiler direnç davranışı olarak ifade edilmektedir. Öğretmenlerin, öğrenci direnç davranışlarının farkında olması ve bu duruma yönelik stratejileri öğrenme-öğretme sürecinin aksamaması açısından büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu durum temel alınarak ortaokullarda görev yapan öğretmenlerin bakış açısından, öğrenci direnç davranışlarına ilişkin görüşleri, stratejileri ve önerileri incelemek amacıyla yapılan bu araştırma, fenomenolojik desende yapılan nitel bir çalışmadır. Veri analizinde betimsel analiz kullanılmıştır. Araştırma, 2017-2018 eğitim-öğretim yılında Adana il merkezinde bulunan yedi devlet ortaokulunda görev yapan 70 öğretmen üzerinde yapılmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında yazarlar tarafından hazırlanan “Öğrenci Direnç Davranışlarına Yönelik Öğretmen Görüşme Formu” kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmenlerin direnç davranışlarına ilişkin algılarının olumsuz olduğu görülmüştür. Öğretmenlerin direnç davranışları konusunda bilgilendirilmesi için ve direnç davranışlarıyla baş etme stratejilerini uygulayabilmesi için hizmet içi eğitimler verilmesi önerilebilir.
Teachers may occasionally encounter inappropriate behaviors of students. These reactions, which students make systematically, plan, against a situation that is negative or possible to them, are expressed as resistance behavior. The fact that the teachers are aware of student resistance behaviors and the strategies for this situation are very important in terms of the failure of the learning-teaching process. Based on this situation, this research, which was conducted with the aim of examining the opinions, strategies and suggestions about student resistance behaviors from the point of view of teachers working in secondary schools, is a qualitative study conducted in phenomenological pattern. Descriptive analysis was used in the data analysis. The study was carried out on 70 teachers working in three state secondary schools located in the city center of Adana in 2017-2018 academic year and in different socio-economic levels (low-middle-upper). "Teacher Interview Form for Student Resistance Behavior" prepared by the authors was used in the collection of the data. As a result of the study, it was seen that teachers' perceptions about resistance behaviors were negative. It may be advisable to provide in-service training to inform teachers about their resistance behavior and to implement strategies to cope with resistance behaviors.
