Abstract:

Swimming houses are houses specially designed for specific purposes, which can move horizontally or vertically on the water surface. Floating houses built for a variety of reasons in the world’s various oceans, seas, lakes and flows are used as rural and urban houses. In the spread of swimming houses, natural factors such as floods that threaten settlements and sea levels rise, as well as human factors such as rapid urbanization and economic activities are highlighted. Swimming houses also get more interest from the tourism sector and the surroundings over the day, as they offer a living option away from cities, with nature. The United States, the UK, the Netherlands, Cambodia and the Philippines are the countries where floating houses are spreading. The floating houses that appear as settlements in the seas and lakes of the Turkish cultural fishing industry have been spreading since 2007. The floating houses in our country are due to the functions of the dalyanes; periodic / temporary settlements. Keban Baraj Lake is one of the areas where the number of floating houses in our country has increased in recent years. These houses are used as a logistics warehouse that meets the needs of workers in fish farms and fishing activities.
