Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, Eğitim Yönetimi ve Denetimi (EYD) alanında yapılan lisansüstü tezlerde araştırma yaklaşımlarının belirlenmesi ve nitel araştırmalarda veri analiz programı olarak kullanılan NVivo programının kullanımının irdelenmesidir. Çalışma tarama modelinde betimsel bir araştırmadır. Araştırmanın verileri doküman incelemesi yöntemiyle elde edilmiştir. Bu araştırmanın evrenini, YÖK Ulusal Tez Merkezi arşivinde bulunan EYD ile ilgili Anabilim ve Bilim Dallarında yapılmış olan yüksek lisans ve doktora tezlerinden erişime izin verilen 2746 tez; araştırmanın örneklemini ise bu alanda belirlenen beş yıl aralığında yapılmış olan ve tam metin erişimine izin verilen toplam 1110 yüksek lisans ve doktora tezi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma sonunda, EYD lisansüstü tezlerdeçok kullanılan araştırma yaklaşımının nicel yöntem (%80.6) olduğu, bunu sırasıyla nitel (%13.7) ve karma (%5.6) yöntemin takip ettiği belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca nitel ve karma araştırmalarda NVivo programının kullanımın düşük düzeyde olduğu ve sınırlı özellikleriyle kullanıldığı belirlenmiştir. Nitel veri analizi programı NVivo’nun etkin ve çeşitli kullanımı için yapılan taramalar sonunda öneriler geliştirilmiştir
The main purpose of this research is to identify research approaches in the postgraduate theses in Education Management and Audit (EYD) and to promote the use of the NVivo program used as a data analysis program in qualitative research. The study is an imaginary research in the scan model. The data of the research was obtained by the method of document examination. The universe of this research is approximately 2746 theses permitted to access from the master and doctoral theses that have been made in the associated departments of the EYD and the National Thesis Center archive; the sample of the research constitutes a total of 1110 master and doctoral theses that have been made within the five-year interval specified in this field and permitted to access the full text. At the end of the study, the research approach that is widely used in the EYD graduate theses is the quantum method (80.6%), followed by the qualitative method (13.7% respectively) and the karma method (5.6% respectively). Qualitative and mixed research has also found that the NVivo program has a low level of use and limited features. Recommendations have been developed at the end of the scans for the effective and diverse use of the Qualitative Data Analysis Program NVivo.
