Sağlık turizmi; tedavi olmayı amaçlayan hastaların yanı sıra oluşabilecek hastalıkları önlemek isteyenlerin, estetik kaygısı olanların, ruhsal denge arayanların ve hatta bütün bunları kültür gezisi çerçevesinde gerçekleştirmek isteyenlerin talepte bulunduğu bir sektör haline gelmiştir. Seyahat imkanlarının iyileşmesi, rekabetçi fiyat uygulamaları ve destinasyonlar arası kalite farkı da bu talebin artışında yönlendirici olmuştur. Bu çalışmada sağlık turizmi çeşitli uygulamaları açısından tasvir edilirken, Türkiye’nin sağlık turizmi pastasındaki payını artırma hedefi doğrultusunda mevcut durumu ve geleceği açısından değerlendirmelerde bulunulmuştur.
Health tourism has become a sector of demand for those who want to prevent diseases, as well as those who want to be treated, those who have aesthetic concern, those who seek mental balance, and even those who want to do all of this within the framework of a cultural journey. The improvement of travel capabilities, competitive price practices and quality differences between destinations have also been the lead in this increased demand. In this study, health tourism is depicted in terms of various practices, but it has been evaluated in terms of the current situation and the future in accordance with the goal of increasing the share of Turkey in health tourism cake.
