Abstract:

The study was conducted in May 2018 at the Isparta Şehit Yunus Emre State Hospital. In the framework of the research, a total of 15 digital hospital applications from different specialties, including hospital senior managers, using quality research methods with employees; discussions were conducted in order to determine the advantages and disadvantages of the digital hospital system according to the previous system and the opinions were taken into the scope of evaluation. According to the research, increased prestige and reliability of the hospital in terms of digital hospital applications and health services, fast and reliable processing, increased accessibility to patient records, the progress of patient tracking systematically and quickly, the prevention of misuse of drugs and contributing to the patient safety, the prevention of drug waste and the reduction of general management costs have been identified as the main advantages of the system. However, in terms of the conservation of patient information, the system can be interfered from the outside and this situation can lead to a security problem, the technical substructure is not strengthened parallel to the increase in the number of patients and medical practices and the problem of system use due to the lack of training of the health workers of the user; it has been identified as the disadvantages of the system expressed in terms of the users.
