“el-Cezire” Üzerine Bir Literatür Çalışması (Fethinden Abbasilerin İlk Dönemine Kadar) ismiyle ele alınan bu çalışmada, el-Cezire bölgesiyle bu bölgeyi oluşturan Diyar-ı Bekr, Diyar-ı Mudâr, ve Diyar-ı Rabi’a bölümleriyle bunların merkezlerinin tarihini, coğrafyasını ve kültürel yapısını konu edinmiştir. Bu çalışma, İslam fetihlerinden Abbasilerin ilk dönemine kadar geçen süreci kapsar. Çalışmada başta el-Cezire ve onu oluşturan üç bölgenin tarihsel önemi vurgulandıktan sonra bölgelerin sınırlarıyla ilgili bilgilendirmeler yapılmış ve bu alandaki kaynakların tespitine geçilmiştir. Ayrıca imkânlar ölçüsünde bölge ile ilgili başta Taberî, İbn Esir ve İbn Kesir gibi temel İslam tarih kaynakları olmak üzere son yıllarda yapılan akademik araştırmaların yanı sıra, bölgeyi konu edinen müstakil çalışmaların da bilgileri verilmiştir.
A Literary Study on "el-Cezar" (from the First Period of the Abbasians to the First Period) in this study, the district of Al-Cezar and the district of Diyar-i Bekr, Diyar-i Mudâr, and Diyar-i Rabi, with its sections, discussed the history, geography and cultural structure of their centers. This study covers the process from the Islamic conquest to the first period of the Abbasians. The study first emphasized the historic importance of Al-Qaeda and the three regions that make it, after information on the borders of the regions was made and the sources in this area were identified. In addition to the academic research done in recent years, including the main sources of Islamic history such as Taberî, Ibn Azir and Ibn Kesir, in the extent of the possibilities, the area has also been given information of the special studies on the subject.
