Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to evaluate the statements published on the topics of "ethics" and "social responsibility" at the National Tourism Congress in Turkey in a bibliometric way. The universe of research is composed of studies containing the words "ethics" or "social responsibility" between the research title or keywords, from the statements contained in the nine separate National Tourism Congress announcement books held between 2009 and 2017. This research, designed as a quality, adopted the identificative analysis method in the assessment of data. The reports identified have been examined under the frequency and percentage analysis. The study found that the number of statements written in the field of ethical and social responsibility in the congresses was 16 and that the representation rate remained at a very low level of 1.8%. It is estimated that the statements were addressed by 38 different authors and that an average of 2.4 authors per statement fell, and that about 94% of them were shared by two authors. A large percentage of authors who contributed to the research have the title of PhD and the universities with two declarations have been found to be the Mediterranean, Nine September and Mersin universities. Moreover, 31.2% of the reports were completed as interuniversity academic research by writers working at at least two different universities.
