Turist rehberlerinin mesleği severek ve isteyerek seçmesi, onların performanslarını da etkilemektedir. Ayrıca rehberlerin sahip olduğu nitelikler ile mesleğin özellikleri ne kadar uyumlu olursa, rehberlerin sunduğu hizmetin kalitesi de artmakta ve dolayısıyla turistlerin yaşayacağı deneyim de bundan etkilenmektedir. Bu noktadan hareketle, araştırmada rehberlerin birey-meslek uyumu algılarının meslek seçimi üzerindeki etkisini incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda 2019 kış uygulama gezisine katılan turist rehberi adaylarından kolayda örnekleme tekniğine göre yüz yüze gerçekleştirilen anket uygulaması sonucunda kullanılabilir 160 anket elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler faktör analizi ve regresyon analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda örneklemi oluşturan turist rehberi adaylarının meslek seçimini etkileyen en önemli faktörün “mesleğin sevilmesi” olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Bununla birlikte birey meslek uyumu faktörlerinden “mesleki ilgiye yönelik uyum” un meslek seçimini etkileyen tüm faktörler üzerinde anlamlı etkisinin olduğu görülmüştür. Bu hususta rehber adaylarına, rehberlik eğitimi veren bireylere yönelik çeşitli öneriler sunulmuştur.
Choosing the job knowingly and willingly, will affect the performance of guides. Besides, if the characteristics of tour guides fit the needs of profession the quality of the services offered by tour guide will increase. This will affect the experiences of tourists. From this point of view, in this research it is aimed to reveal the effects of person-job fit on choosing the profession of tour guides. In this context, data were obtained by tour guide candidates who participated in winter application trip in 2019. The questionnaire was applied by face-to-face conversations through convenience sampling method and 160 questionnaries were collected. The data were subject to exploratory factor analysis and regression analysis. Results showed that for tour guide candidates the most important factor in choice of profession is "loving the profession". At the same time, as one of the factors of person-job fit "professional interest fit" effects significantly the factors of choosing job. To that effect research was finalized with results and suggestions for the tour guide candidates and tour guide educators.
