Abstract:

The orchestra is one of the rare environments in which a musician and/or musician candidates can play music together. Room music and orchestra works are not only related to the individual’s solo play and are a collaborative situation. In all institutions that provide professional music education in our country (Conservatives, Faculty of Fine Arts Music Departments, Faculty of Music and Scene Arts Music Departments, Faculty of Fine Arts High Schools, Faculty of Education Music Education Anabolic Branches, etc.He is interested in making music together and participates in all the music training programs. This situation allows musicians and music educators to do academic studies related to the orchestra. One of the areas where the academic studies related to the orchestra are undergraduate theses. This research is a qualified study aimed at studying the postgraduate theses written in the field of orchestra in Turkey. Document analysis is used as a research model. The research included 89 theses with the keyword "orchestra" located in the database of the Higher Education Council Thesis Documentation Center. All the theses written and accessible from 1999 to 2019 were included in the study and the theses were studied by universities, by years, by types, by institutes, by research methods and by data collection tools and by subjects. The data is analyzed by the percentage (%) and frequency (f) method, and the results are shown under the relevant tables. The study found that the majority of the theses were written in the Architectural Sinan University of Fine Arts, the majority of the theses were completed in the 2016 and 2018 years, and the majority of these theses were master theses.
