The dimensions of environmental issues are getting expanded due to rapid technological advancements, increase in population, urbanization and industrialization. Thus, the importance of living in a healthy, adequate and well-balanced environment is emphasized. The significance of right to environment in the context of handing down an inhabitable environment to the future generations is gradually increasing. The right to clean environment which is included among the solidarity rights underlines the reality that future generations have a claim on the right to environment and is a human right that can be executed with the cooperation of all countries. Right to environment lays a burden on individuals, non-governmental organizations and states, and requires participating in environmental policies and administration processes. In this study, the development right to environment as a human right at the global, national and local levels is discussed
