This study elaborates on the discourse of “Privileged Partnership”, a concept which is frequently visited particularly in the relations between Turkey and the European Union. The word privilege may be defined as special rights and conditions not granted to everyone bearing positive repercussions in its meaning. Although this term is considered have a positive impact on the relations between Turkey and the EU, it is observed to cause a negative impact on the contrary. In this context, the option of Privileged Partnership brought to the agenda with the relations between Turkey and the EU will be tackled along with all its details pertaining to both the relations of the EU with third parties and Turkey. This study will explore the definition of the concept Privileged Partnership via various examples. Followed by this definition, this partnership model in the European Union and its legal basis will be explained while investigating whether the European Union has established such a relationship with a third country or not. In this regard, the discourse of Privileged Partnership will specifically be analyzed in the context of Turkey-EU relations, arguing that such a partnership between the two parties will lead to negative model of Privileged Partnership for Turkey
