In this study, the relationship between risk appetite of firms that operates in Adana, Mersin and Gaziantep only as gas stations and educational levels of managers in those firms were analyzed. The definition of risk is limited by cash loans; whereas the concept of risk appetite is defined as the rate of cash loans to net sales. The financial data used in the study is obtained from income statements for year end 2011 and from a database of a bank. Data for educational levels of managers are based on verbal statements. As a result of the study, it is observed that educational level has a negative impact on risk appetite.
