Öz Küreselleşme ve artan rekabetle birlikte, lojistik uluslararası ticarette önemli bir unsur haline gelmiştir. Küresel düzeyde rekabetin yaşanması, firmaların ürünlerini daha hızlı bir şekilde hazır ederek, teslim etmelerini gerektirmektedir. Üretim maliyetlerinin birbirine yakın değerler arz ettiği günümüz ortamında, rekabet edebilme de lojistik hizmetlerin önemi giderek artmaktadır. Dünya ticaretinden daha fazla pay elde etmede ülkelerin lojistik kapasiteleri ve alt yapıları da önemli bir hal almıştır. Dünya bankası tarafından ülkelerin temel lojistik aktivitelerine yönelik performanslarının ortaya konulması amacı ile 2007 yılından bu yana Küresel Lojistik Performans Endeksi ölçümleri yapılmaktadır. İlki 2007 yılında yapılan lojistik performans endeksi 2 yılda bir yayımlanmakta ve böylece ülkelerin gelişimleri de takip edilebilmektedir. Bu çalışmada lojistik sektörünün G8 ülkeleri ile Türkiye arasındaki karşılaştırmalı durumunu ortaya koymak amacı ile Dünya Bankası tarafından hazırlanan Lojistik performans Endeksi Kullanılmıştır. Çalışma da Türkiye’nin ve G8 ülkelerinin lojistik performans endeksindeki mevcut durumu, ülkelerin avantajları ve dezavantajları ele alınarak, çözüm önerileri ortaya konulmuştur. The logistical capacities and infrastructures of the countries have also become important in gaining more share from world trade. Global Logıstıcs Performance Index has been measured by the World Bank since 2007 in order to demonstrate the performances of the countries in terms of basic logistics activities. The firs logistic performance ındex, which was made in 2007, is published every two years so that the developments of the countries can be followed. In thıs study, Logistics Performance Index prepared by World Bank is used with the aim to reveal the comperative situation between the G8 countries and Turkey logistics sector. In the study, solutions fort he current situation in the logistics Performance Index of the Turkey and the G8 countries are given by considering the advantages and disadvantages of each country. With globalization and increasing competition, logistics has become an important element in international trade. Global competition requires companies to deliver their products faster by preparing them. In today’s environment where production costs offer close values, the importance of logistics services is increasing to be competitive. In achieving a greater share of world trade, the country’s logistics capabilities and substructs have also become important. The Global Logistics Performance Index has been measured since 2007 with the aim of demonstrating the performance of the countries towards key logistics activities. The first logistics performance index, made in 2007, is published once every two years, and so the developments of the countries can be tracked. In this study, the Logistics Performance Index was used by the World Bank in order to reveal the comparative status of the logistics sector between the G8 countries and Turkey. The study also revealed the current situation in the logistics performance index of Turkey and the G8 countries, the advantages and disadvantages of the countries, and the solutions proposals.
