Abstract:

Themes such as environmental awareness, sustainable environment, green production have become relevant to every part of society today. Because of social responsibility, must be more careful with the environment because of their activities, primarily in production. Companies are more accurately monitoring the negative impacts they have on the environment through their green accounting practices. Green accounting is the transfer to the accounting system of the negatives they create on the environment due to the activities of the enterprises. The purpose of this research is to determine the environmental awareness and green accounting awareness of students taking accounting courses. For this purpose, the survey method was used and the data obtained was analyzed using the SPSS package program. The analysis found a significant difference between the gender and green accounting awareness of students. Again, there was a significant difference between the student’s status of knowledge of green accounting and the green accounting consciousness. The study found a partially meaningful difference between other variables and green accounting consciousness.
