Ortaöğretime Geçiş Sistemi İle İlgili 2000 - 2018 Yılları Arasında Çalışılmış Lisansüstü Tez ve Makalelerin İncelenmesi

Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Ortaöğretime Geçiş Sistemi (OGS) ile ilgili 2000-2018 yılları arasında yayımlanan lisansüstü tezleri ve makaleleri inceleyerek, ortaöğretime geçiş sistemleri alanındaki araştırmaların belirli kategorilerdeki eğilimlerini güvenilir ve objektif bir şekilde ortaya koymak ve oluşturulan veriler doğrultusunda senteze dayalı bir sonuç oluşturarak değerlendirme yapmaktır. Bu amaçla ortaöğretime geçiş sistemleriyle ilgili araştırmaların yayınlanma tarihleri, yazarların sayısı, evreni, örneklem türü, anabilim dalı, hedef kitlesi, yöntemleri, veri toplama araçları, veri analizi teknikleri, konu alanları, yayımlandıkları dergi alanları açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma yöntemi nitel araştırma yöntem türlerinden doküman incelemesidir. Konuyla ilgili 2000 ve 2018 yılları arasında yayınlanan çalışmaların sınırlılığını Yükseköğretim Kurulu Ulusal Tez Merkezi’nde taranan lisansüstü tezler ile ULAKBİM ve Google Akademikte taranan dergilerde yayımlanan özgün makaleler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada toplam 53 yüksek lisans - doktora tezi ve 85 özgün makale analiz edilmiştir. Verilerden elde edilen sonuçlara göre OGS ile ilgili yapılan çalışmalarda en fazla iki yazarlı çalışmalar yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmaların daha çok ULAKBİM’de indekslenen dergilerde makale olarak yayımlandığı, lisansüstü tez çalışmalarının ise daha çok yüksek lisans tezlerinde yoğunlaştığı görülmüştür. Veri analiz tekniği olarak en fazla içerik analizini tercih edilmiştir, Çalışmalar en fazla eğitim bilimleri anabilim dalında yapılmıştır, Çalışmaların en çok ortaöğretime geçiş sistemleri içerisinde Seviye Belirleme Sınavı (SBS) sistemiyle ilgili olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmalarda yöntem olarak daha çok tarama modelleri tercih edilmiştir.

Abstract:

The objective of this study is to study the postgraduate theses and articles published between 2000-2018 on the Transitional System for Secondary Education (OGS), to reliably and objectively reveal the trends of research in certain categories in the field of Transitional Systems for Secondary Education, and to evaluate by creating a synthesis-based result according to the data created. For this purpose, the publication dates of research related to the transition systems to the secondary education, the number of authors, the universe, the type of sampling, the branch of anatomy, the target audience, the methods, the data collection tools, the data analysis techniques, the subjects, the fields of the magazine they publish. The study method is the examination of documents from the type of research method. The limitation of the studies published on the subject between 2000 and 2018 is made by the Higher Education Council's National Thesis Center scaned undergraduate theses and original articles published in the ULAKBIM and Google Academy scaned magazines. A total of 53 master's - doctoral theses and 85 original articles were analyzed in the study. According to the results obtained from the results, two authors have been studied on the OGS. These studies have been more published in indexed magazines in ULAKBIM, and their postgraduate thesis studies have been more focused on master thesis. Data analysis technique has preferred content analysis, studiesMore educational sciences have been carried out in the field of anatomy, studies have been found to be related to the level determination exam (SBS) system within the transition systems of high school. In the studies, more screening models were preferred as methods.

This study aimed to examine postgraduate publications and journal articles concerning transition to secondary education (OGS), to reveal the trends in different categories of research in this field in a reliable and objective manner, make assessments, and draw conclusions based on the synthesis of the data generated. For this purpose, theses, dissertations, and journal articles related to OGS were evaluated in terms of publication date, number of authors, population, type of sample, department, methods, data collection tools, data analysis techniques, subject areas, and the publishing journal. In this study, a qualitative research method, document review, was used. The sample of the study was limited to the postgraduate theses and dissertations screened from the National Thesis Centre of the Turkish Council of Higher Education and original journal articles indexed in ULAKBIM and Google Academics in the related area, published from 2000 to 2018. A total of 53 Master’s theses or PhD dissertations and 85 original articles were analyzed. These studies were mostly published in journals indexed in ULAKBIM, and most postgraduate studies were conducted as part of a Master’s program, rather than a PhD. Content analysis was the most frequently used data analysis technique. The studies were mostly conducted in the department of educational sciences. Among the OGS systems examined, the placement test (SBS) attracted the most interest of researchers. The authors commonly used screening models as the research method.
