In this study, the Arkhe debate that the Ionian School discussed in the Antiquity will be discussed only through Thales and Anaximenes, and that today's human-nature relations are considered to be problematic, and that elements, which they regard as arkhe, are forgotten today will be raised. After mentioning that air and water are considered sacred and the ancient Greek way of thinking that life itself is deemed valuable is fundamentally different from various philosophies and teachings that negate life and its elements, the ecological crisis which is caused by this attitude itself and human actions in the historical process will be mentioned, and therefore, with this process, it will be stated that human existence is in a state of alienation and forgetting against life and its elements.
