Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın amacı, etik liderlik davranışları ve olumsuz bir çalışan eğilimi olan kariyerizm ile çalışanların algıladıkları örgütsel performans arasındaki ilişkilerin incelenmesidir. Ayrıca etik liderlik davranışları ile algılanan örgütsel performans arasındaki ilişkide kariyerizm yöneliminin aracı etkisi de incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın amacı doğrultusunda İstanbul il sınırları içinde, kamu veya özel sektörde çeşitli departmanlarda çalışan 189 katılımcıya gönüllü katılım esasına dayanan anket çalışması uygulanmıştır. Katılımcılar sektör farkı gözetilmeksizin rassal olarak belirlenmiştir. Elde ettiğimiz verilerin analizi SPSS versiyon 23 programı vasıtasıyla yapılmıştır. Gerçekleştirilen analizler sonucunda etik liderlik davranışlarının, algılanan örgütsel performans üzerinde istatistiki olarak anlamlı ve pozitif yönlü; kariyerizm yöneliminin ise algılanan örgütsel performans üzerinde istatistiki olarak anlamlı ve negatif yönlü bir etkisinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca etik liderlik davranışları ile algılanan örgütsel performans arasındaki ilişkide kariyerizm yöneliminin, istatistiki olarak anlamlı ve negatif yönlü kısmi aracı değişken rolü olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of ethical leadership and a negative employee behavior careerism on the organizational performance perceived by employees. This study also investigates the mediator effect of careerism on the relationship between ethical leadership and organizational performance perceived by employees. The sample of the study consists of 189 people working in the public or private sectors in Istanbul in Turkey. The analysis is conducted via SPSS version 23. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the ethical leadership had a statistically significant and positive effect on all dimensions of organizational performance perceived by employees and careerism had a statistically significant and negative effect on all dimensions of organizational performance perceived by employees. Furthermore, results showed us that careerism is a negative effect partial mediator on the relationship between ethical leadership and all dimensions of organizational performance perceived by employees.
