Defterdar Ibrahim Pasha Mosque was built in the second half of the 17th century in Istanbul. It was so much destroyed since it is abandoned for long years. With this study, it is aimed to identify current conditions and species of woods to shed light on maintenance and restoration of the mosque for future studies.First, nine wooden samples were taken from facades, floorings, roof panels, main posts, stair rails, laths and lattice works of the mosque. Then macroscopic and microscopic features were identified by studying these samples
