Keşifsel türde tasarlanan araştırmanın amacı, Kızkalesi’ndeki restoran işletmeleri çalışanlarının Kızkalesi’ni ziyaret eden yerli turistlere yönelik bakış açılarından hareketle, yerli turistlerin davranışsal profilinin ortaya çıkarılmasıdır. Araştırmanın amacına bağlı olarak, 9 Temmuz 2018 tarihinde Kızkalesi’nde faaliyet gösteren 10 restoran işletmesinde, 8’i restoran işletmecisi, 18 çalışanla yarı yapılandırılmış yüz yüze görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Görüşmelere katılacak kişilerin belirlenmesinde, kolayda örnekleme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Veriler içerik analizi ve betimsel analize tabi tutulmuştur. Araştırmada, yerli turistlerin restoran içerisinde ve restoran dışındaki uygunsuz davranışları ve olumlu davranışlarının yanı sıra, Kızkalesi turizminin mevcut durumu ve genel sorunlarına yönelik bulgulara ulaşılmıştır. Bulgular doğrultusunda, araştırmacılara ve uygulayıcılara yönelik çeşitli öneriler getirilmiştir. Çalışmada getirilen önerilerden hareketle, ileriye yönelik alınabilecek önlemlerle Kızkalesi turizminin geliştirilmesine katkı sağlanabileceği düşünülmektedir.
The purpose of the research designed in the explosive type is to reveal the behavioral profile of the indigenous tourists, moving from the point of view of the employees of the restaurant companies in Kızkalesi to visit the indigenous tourists. Depending on the purpose of the study, on 9 July 2018 in 10 restaurant companies operating in Kızkalesi, 8 restaurants operators, 18 employees have held semi-configured face-to-face conversations. In the determination of the people to participate in the interviews, the sampling technique was easily used. The data is subject to content analysis and visual analysis. In the study, the findings of the indigenous tourists' inappropriate behavior and positive behavior within and outside the restaurant, as well as the current situation and general problems of the Kiskalesi tourism have been found. According to the findings, various recommendations have been made to researchers and practitioners. It is believed that by taking action from the recommendations presented in the study, the measures that can be taken forward can contribute to the development of the Kiskalesi tourism.
Tourism is a sector that fundamentally produces “experience”. Tourism is affected by advancement in the market and its The aim of this exploratory research is to identify the behavioral profile of domestic tourists visiting Kızkalesi (Korykos) by investigating restaurant employees’ perspectives. Depending on the purpose of the study, convenience sampling was preferred and the data was collected by semi-structured interviews with 18 employees from 10 different restaurants on 9th July 2018. Two questions regarding domestic tourists’ pleasing and disturbing behaviors were asked to the participants. Data were analyzed by using descriptive and content analysis. The results of the study revealed the current state and the major problems about tourism in Kızkalesi, thus it is thought to have important contributions to tourism development in the area by showing the critical concerns.
