The aim of the research is to investigate the relationship between aggression and happinies which is one of the positive emotions. In recent years, it is focused on the strengths and potentials of individuals in terms of positive psychology. Thus, it becomes important that level of happiness could affect individuals’ thoughts, behaviours and decisions. This study is quantitative research relational survey model. The population of the study includes 33858 university students who study in Erzurum Ataturk University, and the sample consisted of 776 students who were selected with stratified sampling from the population. "Oxford Happiness Scale”, "Aggressiveness Inventory" and "Personal Information Form" were used as data collection instruments in the study. As a result of the correlation analysis performed to determine whether there is a meaningful relationship between aggression sub-dimensions and happiness scores; There was a negative correlation between happiness and physical aggression (r = -, 175, p <.01), negative correlation between verbal aggression and happiness (r = -, 175, p <.01), negative correlation between impulsive aggression and happiness (r = -, 266, p <.01). Finally, there appears to be a positive relationship between avoidance of aggression and happiness (r =, 135, p <.01). According to structural equation model result which was used to find out the correlation between aggression and happiness; it has been determined that the happiness among university students has explained %10 of aggression in a negative way. According to the research findings, it could be said that happiness has been an important factor to lessen aggresion, and also aggression has differentiated in terms of related variables.
