The story of Necati Cumali’s Susuz Summer is about the reflections of the structural conflict arising from the subject of private property of water on the village community. The film has been adapted to the cinema twice in 1963 and 1973. The first film to be filmed won the Golden Bear Prize at the Berlin Film Festival in 1964. It was shown in the "Classic Films" section of the Cannes Film Festival. In the story of need, we are witnessing that property through the image of water in the films, the feeling of possession leads to a struggle of power, that struggle also reveals the fact that man is alienated to himself, and that it creates spaces of social conflict. It is observed that the power struggle extends its sphere, that in such a social level everything is metalized and that the woman is objectivized and transformed into a sphere of domination built upon it.
