Abstract:

The regional development, which is defined as changing and improving the economic and socio-cultural structures of a given region, comprises complex relation network according to the development level of the state. For regional development, it is a must to prepare the master and determine priorities and strenghts that can provide opportunities for the region. The region of Thrace provides logistic great opportunities because of its geographical position. Particularly, from the respect of air, sea and land transportations, it has quite suitable location. These advantages can contribute the development of the region. In this study, the importance and problems of the logistic sector in the region have been analyzed
