Abstract:

Throughout the history, geopolitics, which is the science of politics on geography, focused on geographical areas to be inspected on geographical reasons for expansion of states. In addition to this power, as one of the most prominent concepts within the international relations, has been defined as a concept that states have for purpose to all periods of history. It is hardly suprising that the powerful states has a considerable place in the international system. In general concept of power and privately naval forces/sea power have been a concept whose facts are redifened at all transformation periods of the international system.In this article includes the importance of the geopolitics and its effects on developing a global sea power in foreign policy decisions. The notion of sea power involves all of economic and military elements owned by thestate. In the globalized world economy, the healthy growth of the countries brings along an increase in the trading volume.Seas which surround the seven continents on the earth is naturally the most important part of the transportation. In this study, the importance of sea power in the world in terms of geopolitics and the importance of the effects are discussed
