In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effects of the perception of independence of accounting profession members and the satisfaction level of occupational chambers on their self-esteem. In this context, the questionnaire consisting of scales developed for the measurement of variables was applied to 175 professions covering Ankara and Istanbul provinces and data were collected and analysed with the help of SPSS. Findings from the study show that satisfaction level of occupational chambers and professional independence of sub-variables such as wage independence, professional flexibility and customer rotation have positive and significant effects on the perceived self-esteem of members of the profession
