Abstract:

Ali Fuat Bey born in Tavas completed his high school education in Denizli. He enrolled in High Economic and Trade School, three-year, in İstanbul because he aimed at begining to work and trade as soon as possible. In his pupilage, he took advantage of scholarship which was given by Republican People's Party (RPP) to students of hisher education because his family had financial difficulties in those times. Dağdeviren starting to work as a accountant in Denizli Draper Union after the return to Denizli from İstanbul began to work as a official after the army because the Union separated. After two years which he employed in ministry of commerce in Ankara, he transfered himself to Denizli İş Bank and after return to Denizli he put a stake in the ground of politic. Dağdeviren, going into business by leaving from public service, had an important position in trade for himself in a short time owing to important dealership related to Koç Company. While he was in the leg of civil society of social contribution with Denizli Tuberculosis Control Association, he engaged himself in politic with the active position in Republican People's Party. Dağdeviren taking on important tasks in the party, became head of Denizli Board of Trade in 1960. He became provincial head of RPP in 1961. In 1963, he became candidate of mayorship but he couldn’t win. In 1968, he became candidate of mayorship second time but he couldn’t win again. Dağdeviren becoming distant from politic until 1972, became provincial head of RPP again in 1972. He was selected to deputy mayor in 1973, was on duty for councilorship and deputy chairman until 1978. He leaved from trade life later although after 1978, he continued trade life for a while.
