Troya, dünyadaki en ünlü antik kentlerden birisidir. 2018 yılının Troya yılı ilan edilmesiyle Troya antik kenti yeniden gündeme gelmiş ve turizm hareketliliği açısından Çanakkale’ye ivme kazandırdığı düşünülmektedir.. Troya bölgesinin tarihi açıdan önemini yapılan arkeolojik araştırmalar gün yüzüne çıkarmıştır ve çıkarmaya devam etmektedir. Yapılan bu arkeolojik kazılar aynı zamanda tarihin eski dönemlerinde insanların ne yiyip içtiklerine ilişkin ipuçları da vermektedir. Gastronomi turizmi açısından yerel yemeklerin önemi birçok araştırma tarafından vurgulanmıştır. Gastronomi turistlerinin ya da kültürel amaçlı bölgeyi ziyaret eden turistlerin tarihin eski dönemlerinde insanların ne yediklerini de merak edebilecekleri ve buna uygun olarak turistik ürün oluşturulabileceği düşüncesinden hareketle çalışmada literatür taranarak Troya'nın yemek kültürünü ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Yapılan incelemeler sonucunda Troas bölgesinde ve Troya'da beslenmede etkili olan temel unsurlardan ilkinin yaşanılan coğrafya, ikincinin ise olduğu tarihsel süreç olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bu bilgiler doğrultusunda bölgede çağlar boyunca genel olarak Akdeniz tipi beslenme kültürünün hakim olduğu söylenebilir. Sırasıyla koyun, sığır, domuz, keçi (oğlak), geyik ve at gibi hayvanların etleri tüketilmiştir. Bununla birlikte, ton balığı ve kabuklu deniz ürünlerinin sıklıkla yer aldığı görülmektedir. Buğday ve arpa çeşitleri, bezelye, nohut, bakla gibi tahıl ürünleri ile bakliyatlar da tüketilmektedir. Zeytin, üzüm ve incir gibi meyvelerin var olduğu ve zeytinyağının değerli bir besin maddesi olduğu söylenebilir.

Troy is one of the world’s most ancient cities. With the proclamation of the 2018 Trojan Year, the ancient town of Trojan has re-established and it is believed that it has given the momentum to Çanakkale in terms of tourism mobility. These archaeological discoveries also give clues about what people ate and drank in ancient times of history. The importance of local foods in terms of gastronomy tourism has been emphasized by many research. Gastronomy tourists or tourists visiting the cultural area in ancient periods of history will be able to wonder what people eat and the idea that tourist products can be created accordingly is aimed at scanning the literature in the study to reveal the food culture of Troy. The study found that the main elements that have an effect on nutrition in the region of Troas and in Troya are the first geographical and the second historical process. According to this information, it can be said that the region has dominated the Mediterranean-type nutrition culture throughout the ages. Then put, the meat of animals such as cattle, pigs, goats (poons), cattle and horses is consumed. However, it is seen that tons of fish and marine fruits are often found. There are many kinds of grains and grains, such as grains and grains, and grains and grains. It can be said that there are fruits such as olive, grapefruit and peanut butter, and that olive oil is a valuable nutrient.

These archaeological excavations also provide clues about what people eat and drink in ancient times.The importance of local food in terms of gastronomy tourism has been emphasized by many researches. It is thought that gastronomy tourists or culture tourists can also be curious about what people eat in the ancient times. For this reason, it is thought that it can be created a touristic product accordingly. From this point of view, it is aimed to reveal the food culture of Troia by scanning secondary data sources in this study. As a result of the investigations, it can be said that the first one of the basic factors that affect nutrition in Troas region and Troia is the geography, and the second is the historical process. In line with this information, it can be said that Mediterranean type nutrition culture prevails over the ages in general. It can be seen with sequence the consumption of meat of animals such as sheep, cattle, pig, goat (goat), deer and horse. However, tuna and shell fish are frequently seen. Wheat and barley varieties, grain products such as peas, chickpeas, broad beans and legumes are also consumed. It can be said that fruits such as olives, grapes and figs exist and tha tolive is a valuable nutrient.
