For the purpose of understanding sustainable development and dealing with environmental problems, numerous organizations are organized every year, and the United Nations World and Environment Summit has managed to create a top mind with its participation and global perspective. With the conferences held in 1972, 1992, 2002 and 2012, he determined the global environmental agenda and invited many official and civil institutions and organizations to move on a global basis. The research examines the policy, speech and action plans arising from the main environmental and development conferences discussed in the context of the content analysis and the study of how the United Nations Environment Programme proposes a sustainable development model globally. The development model created from the joint share of this knowledge has been studied as a response to the sustainable development found in today’s cities and local governments. The criteria and assessments studied by research for sustainable development without a complete definition and scope aimed at contributing to this emptiness in literature with its broad content and comprehensive characteristics.
