Abstract:

This study of beautiful art class 12. The kind of education of the students of the class music department, the institutions that provide professional music education of the universities (Turkish music education, Western music education) and the educational content (Song education, sound education, theory education, etc.) It is designed to measure their level of knowledge. This research is of importance to eliminate disappointments by allowing students to make the right choices in their university choices, to be able to prevent material and spiritual damage after winning the university, and to behave consciously in the music department choices of the universities they will be educated. The universe of the research consists of a sixteen high school of beautiful arts that teaches music in Turkey. The example is; the fourteen beautiful art class music section, selected regionally, 12. The class forms students. In the research, the data was collected with a semi-configured data collection tool prepared by the researcher. The data obtained from 214 students participated in the study were tabled with frequency and arithmetic average values. The conclusion is that the level of knowledge of students about the music departments of the universities is not sufficient.
