Abstract:

It is seen that the information system applications result unsuccessfully in many enterprises today. This is caused by the failure in applying the right methodology in the selection, development and application processes of software, regardless of the chosen information system application. Consequently, software selection plays an important role in the success of information system projects. This study presents an approach for software selection using analytic hierarchy process (AHP). Software selection has become more complex due to large number of alternatives and multiple criteria. The methodology used software on selection must have to handle and to evaluate multiple criteria. AHP satisfies these factors for software selection. In this study, AHP is used for selection of enterprise resource planning software in the automotive sector
