In our developing and changing world, to ensure compliance with the alterations in technology carries a great importance in enhancement of efficiencies and productivities of operations. In our day which the market structure is determined by the consumers, the classical production systems have started to be replaced by more flexible systems based on automation. Within this context, the capability of producing different products constitutes the foundation of competition. The abudance in variety of producable parts and ability to change the quantity and composition easily, has brought the concept of flexibility in production into the agenda. In our day, operations have directed at the Flexible Production Systems due to the abudance of product variety, high quality and being customer-focused. Since a machine-intensive production mode is used in operations applying flexible production cost, while the share of the labour expenditures which is among the elements constituting the product cost was decreasing, the share of the general production expenditures has increased.
