Abstract:

In the middle of the 20th century, minimalism was defined as the least reduced art concept. Despite the fact that minimalism has begun to show its effects in the early 20th century, it has not been fully adopted in these years. The artists who have adopted the art concept of minimalism have over time gone out of traditional forms, and have managed to destroy the acceptable ordinary values of time. The artists, together with their original artistic positions, created new forms, ensuring the formation of the unity of forms objectively and spatially. The relationship between the work and the field began to be more analytically questioned with the twentieth century. In the 20th century, the art began to show a tendency to unleash. As a result, minimal tendencies have begun to be seen. During this period, it seems that artists began to express their art using a simple, distant from decoration, pure language. Symbols and images that are simplified within the minimal understanding, as a result of the artists’ unification and separation of forms, gain identity and differentiate. With this understanding, the solitude, based on the foundations of abstract art, has begun the purification process in which the object dominates the painting art. The process of purification of the art has reached the highest point in the minimal art. With the minimal painting art, painting and sculpture have come to a different discipline understanding, and it can be said that there is a great change in the form and space relationship. The study we have done is aimed at researching the relationship of minimal painting art with object and space.
