Abstract:

This study aims to develop a measurement tool with validity and reliability to be used in determining the attitudes of teaching candidates towards teaching planning. Created in accordance with the process of creating scale materials, the 46 material attitude scale trial form for teaching planning, the Gazi University Gazi Education Faculty has been applied to 524 final class students who have studied in the 2018-2019 educational teaching period in different teaching programs. In the determination of the work group, the idea was taken into account that the attitudes of the teacher candidates to the planning of the teaching will be clear in the last class. Analysis of validity and reliability on the data obtained from the application to the teacher candidates has been made evidence of the psychometric characteristics of the scale form. Average Factor Analysis (AFA) for structural validity through the set of data obtained from the half of the work group, the verifying Factor Analysis (DFA) through the set of data obtained from the other half. According to the Opening Factor Analysis (AFA), the scale was found to consist of 37 matters and 3 sub-dimensions. Based on the judgments reflected by the scale matters, the scale subdimensions are named in the forms of "belief in the benefit of planning", "negative belief in planning" and "finding planning important" respectively. The total variance of the three-factor structure of the scale is 50%. It was revealed 91. The Cronbach alpha ratio is .95 for the entire scale, .92 to .90 and 89 for the lower dimensions, respectively. The values obtained by the verifying factor analysis also show that the three-factor structure is verified. These findings show that the scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool for determining the attitudes towards teaching planning.
