Nowadays it is thought that values are some kind of relative concepts that varies from person to person and that what determines the value of a person is up to the people who evaluate, so value of a person is not something that belongs to the person, but something that is attributed to the person by others according to circumstances. In this study, the roots of that thought is going to be inquired in Hobbes’s philosophy and his opinion about the value of a person and concepts of good, power, happiness are going to be asserted. On the other hand, those opinions of Hobbes and Kucuradi’s opinions that values are not relative concepts but humane possibilities that can be put into practice and can be approached as an object of philosophical knowledge are going to be compared and it is going to be brought into question that which one of them can be helpful for determining and solving the human problems of today’s world.
